Dogs Days of Summer program teaches healthy pet living
The annual Dog Days of Summer program sponsored by Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation at First Landing Park was an exciting day for canine lovers. From the doggie fashion show, animal rescue information, volunteer opportunities, dog clothing, and an exploration on canine artifacts to the new products for scooping poop, the afternoon was a fun day for everyone.
Brandy Salazar, a canine handler from The Volunteer Greater Atlantic Rescue Dogs, and her German Shepherd, Ekko, talked to the crowd about safety with pets in the woods.
Judy Roher owner of the camp store at First Landing State Park and Best Value Hardware store of Virginia Beach, gave her dog Frosty Martin Roher, a big hug.
Carl Fuller, a volunteer with the Greyt Expectations Greyhound Rescue, encouraged his Greyhound Lady to cool down in the pool.
